GOAT BO Collection Day 8: Despite The Drop, Vijay Starrer Mints ₹177.75 Cr In India

The Greatest Of All Time Box Office Collection: Thalapathy Vihay starrer The GOAT has been witnessing a drop since the movie hit the weekday. The sci-fi thriller opened at ₹44 crore at the domestic box office and went on to mint over ₹100 crore in the opening weekend. Seeing the trends, it was expected that the movie would be able to reach ₹200 crore mark, but it fell short by around ₹22 crore.

Helmed by Venkat Prabhu, the sci-fi thriller earned ₹6.50 crore on the eighth day at the box office. Adding the collection to the opening week total it stands at ₹177.75 crore, per Sacnilk.The Greatest of All Time had an overall 24.15 per cent Tamil occupancy on Thursday with a maximum reported in Trichy (43.75 per cent). Seeing the trend, it is expected that by the second weekend, the movie will be able to enter ₹200 crore mark at the domestic box office.

Who played the younger version of Thalapathy Vijay in GOAT?

As per reports, in GOAT, the younger version of Thalapathy Vijay is played by the Kollywood artist Ayaz Khan. Though the de-ageing technology was still used, the role wasn’t played by the Bigil actor himself. Ayaz took to Instagram to express his gratitude to Venkat Prabhu, Vijay and the whole team for offering him such a significant opportunity. He wrote, “Very happy to be a part of this amazing project @venkatprabhu. Thank you sir, for your appreciation of my acting and for how you acknowledged my acting videos. I still remember how you introduced me to Mohan sir. It was a goosebumps moment, sir. It was a super experience, and I learned a lot from you. Once again, thank you so much, sir."

Apart from Vijay, the movie also stars Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, Meenakshii Chaudhary, and Yogi Babu in key roles.
