Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Nicholai Sachdev got married on July 3 in an intimate wedding ceremony in Chennai. It was followed by a star-studded post-wedding bash attended by the who's who of South Indian cinema. The newlyweds are yet to share their official wedding photos, but several photos from their reception have gone viral on the Internet.

The city of Chennai witnessed stars descend on the earth after several celebs from the South cinema arrived at Varalaxmi and Nicholai's reception on Wednesday. The bash was held at a luxurious venue which looked nothing short of a grand spectacle with a beautifully decorated stage. For the occasion, Varalaxmi wore a wine-hued shimmery embroidered lehenga featuring gold threadwork and sequin embellishments. She sported heavy makeup and accessorised her look with a diamond choker, dangler earrings and diamond bangles.

Nicholai, on the other hand, looked dapper in a dark maroon bandhgala sherwani and completed his look with a multi-layered necklace adding a regal touch to his groom look.

The reception was attended by Prabhu Deva, Kiccha Sudeep, Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, Mani Ratnam, Trisha, Nandamuri Balakrishna and many more.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who played Chandra in Vikram Vedha exchanged engagement rings with art gallerist Nicholai Sachdev on March 1. Her private ceremony was held in Mumbai and was attended by close family and friends as confirmed by industry tracker Ramesh Bala. The couple were acquainted for 14 years and solidified their commitment in the presence of their parents.

During the ceremony, Varalaxmi wore an elegant ivory and gold silk saree paired with a vibrant Fuschia blouse adorned with gold motifs and complemented by diamond jewellery and floral hair accessories. Nicholai on the other hand sported a coordinating ensemble in shades of ivory and gold.
