Amidst the hype surrounding the film, the makers dropped a deleted scene where Fahadh Faasil, as Patrick showcased a fanboy moment by recreating a scene from Rajinikanth's 90s blockbusters.

Vettaiyan's deleted scene has gone viral

On October 17, the creators of Vettaiyan released a deleted clip from the movie on social media, featuring Fahadh Faasil recreating a famous moment from Rajinikanth’s blockbuster Muthu. The clip, captioned "Patrick’s fanboy moment hits differently in this unseen video as he recreates Thalaivar’s legendary dialogue!", showcases a memorable scene.

In the short, less-than-a-minute long deleted scene, Patrick (Fahadh Faasil) asks Roopa (Ritika Singh) to order food for him as he’s hungry. Roopa, however, is taken aback by Patrick's nonchalant behaviour, especially as they face a crucial point in the investigation. In response, Patrick delivers the iconic "Pasi, dhukkam, and sandhosam" line from Rajinikanth’s 1995 hit Muthu, directed by K. S. Ravikumar.

Fahadh Faasil’s portrayal of this moment as a Rajinikanth fanboy was spot on. Though it remains unclear why this charming scene was excluded from Vettaiyan, fans, particularly those of Thalaivar, were thrilled to see it shared online.

Once the video surfaced, it quickly went viral. One user commented, “It would have been a blast if they had kept it... why did they delete it?” Another added, “Why did you cut this?”
