Telangana CM Chandrashekar Rao allows film shootings, post-production in phased manner
Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao has directed the state officials to prepare guidelines on how to conduct film shootings in the state amid the COVID-19 crisis

In a significant development towards rmalising situation after COVID-19 lockdown, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday, May 22 anunced that film shootings and post-production works which were put on hold due to pandemic would resume in a phased manner.
CM has directed concerned officials to prepare guidelines on how to conduct film shootings in state while keeping in mind necessary precautions. In a meeting with prominent film personalities at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday, a discussion on resumption of film shootings, revival of post-production work, and reopening of atres was held.

An official statement by CMO mentions that CM has suggested everyone should follow lockdown conditions, preventive measures to contain spread of coronavirus, and conduct shoots while strictly following self-regulations.

" CM suggested that initially, indoor production works with less number of people should be commenced. In next phase, in June film shootings can begin. Lastly, based on situation n, a decision on film atres reopening can be taken," stated release.
" government would issue categorical guidelines on matter and give permission to shootings. After a few days of shootings, an estimate can be made on situation, and n a decision on reopening of film atres will be taken," Chief Minister Rao added.

trial shoot would be an attempt to show authorities that film shootings can take place even with a limited cast and crew members. It has been reported by a media portal that director appealed to Chief Minister and ensured him that shooting for one-day trial will take place with a very limited crew.
