Television actor Abhinav Kohli was arrested after wife and actress Shweta Tiwari registered a police complaint against him for domestic violence. Shweta along with daughter Palak filed a complaint at Samta Nagar police station in Kandivali East, Mumbai. Reacting to the media reports, Shweta Tiwari's daughter Palak took to her Instagram handle and made some shocking allegations on Kohli.
And now reacting to the matter, Abhinav at a film screening said, "I am recovering. It is very disturbing or me, and it is not over, it is still on". He was then asked if he was back to normal life and if he had met his wife Shweta after getting bail, to which he said, "I am back to life for sure, but yes normalcy will take some time, and yes I have met Shweta".
Days prior, Abhinav Kohli's step-daughter Palak Tiwari had taken to social media penned a post, which she started by thanking everyone who reached out to her to express their concern and support. And later went on to clarify some facts.
She said: "I, Palak Tiwari, was on multiple occasions a victim of domestic abuse NOT my mother, except for the day that the complaint was filed he hadn’t hit my mother. As a reader of the news its often easy to forget that you do not know the truth of what goes on behind closed doors or how much fortitude my mother has shown in both her marriages. This is someone’s household you’re writing about, someone’s life you’re discussing. Many of you, fortunately, haven’t even dealt with something of such heinous proportions, and hence you have no right to comment, discuss or paint someone else’s image through your biased, misinformed views.", read an excerpt from her post.
PALAK'S FATHER REACTS
Palak's father Raja Chaudhary in an interaction with an entertainment portal said that he got to know about the news through media. He said he's been in touch with his daughter and she told him not to worry. Raja said that it is disturbing for him to read all this as a father.
Raja was also quoted by another daily where he said, "I do not know how low he stooped to outrage her modesty but I texted my daughter who responded to my messages saying she was 'okay' and that I 'need not worry'. At present she is reeling under mental agony but I will speak to her to know the details in a few days. I am not sure what legal support I could extend to my daughter but first I need to speak to her and then I will contact my legal team to safeguard my daughter."
