Amitabh Bachchan Takes A Crash Course In Gen-z Dating Terms, Struggles To Understand Breadcrumbing

KBC16 latest update: With every episode the ultimate quiz game show gets funnier and intense. With legendary host Amitabh Bachchan , the show has already aired 27 episodes and is about to reach its end. During a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Big B received a crash course introduced on modern dating lingo from the contestant Ritika Kumari. Contestant Ritika Kumari explained the meanings of these terms to the actor. However, his response to the term ‘breadcrumbing’ was nothing short of epic.

During the episode, Ritika Kumari told the Kalki 2898 AD actor that she used to provide relationship advice and introduced him to some gez slang.

Explaining the term breadcrumbing, she said, “Sir breadcrumbing yeh hota hai ki ladka ladki ko hint deta hai, ladki ladka ko hint deti hai, but woh dono commit nai karte ki we are in a relationship or something (Sir, breadcrumbing is when a boy gives hints to a girl, and a girl gives hints to a boy, but neither of them commits to being in a relationship or anything serious).”
 

Responding to this Sholay actor said, "Oh! Usko breadcrumbing bolte hai? Hamari umar nikal gayi eske liye? Lekin agar kabhi afsar mila toh kya bolenge hum aye aap Deltis bread khaenge kya? Aisa kuch? Wahi humko yaad hai (Oh! Is that what it's called, breadcrumbing? Have we missed the boat on this? But if we ever get a chance, will we say something like, 'Would you like to have some Delta bread?' That's what we remember).”

Amitabh Bachchan now knows the term 'benching'

KBC 16 contestant Ritika further explained other terms saying, “Gen Z often use terms that might be unfamiliar. For example, ghosting means ignoring someone. Imagine you text me, but I keep ignoring you—just as an example. Situationship refers to being in a relationship without making it public. Lastly, benching is like sitting on a bench with someone, but having a backup option, like Abhishek Bachchan sitting next to me while I'm with you.”

Towards the end, a curious Amitabh Bachchan asked, “So, if I'm in the middle and you're here, Abhishek is your backup plan. What about my backup plan?”

Ritika jokingly suggested he try benching, to which Amitabh laughed, saying the bench was too small for anyone else.
