'Big Bang Theory' Star Kaley Cuoco To Be The New 'Harley Quinn'

American actress Kaley Cuoco is  all set to lend her voice to the iconic DC villain Harley Quinn, in the upcoming adult animated web television series 'Harley Quinn'

American actress Kaley Cuoco is all set to fit in the role of Harley Quinn in DC's upcoming animated web television series. As per media reports, the 'Big Bang Theory' star is roped to voice the iconic DC villain in the new 'Harley Quinn' animated series. Moreover, the actress is also speculated to serve as an executive producer to the animated series through her production company 'Yes, Norman Productions'. 

DC Comics' 'Harley Quinn' is a fictional character created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, which first appeared in 'Batman: The Animated Series', in September 1992. She is known to be a dedicated lover and crime partner of the iconic Batman villain Joker, whom she met while working as a psychiatrist at Gotham City's Arkham Asylum, where the Joker was appointed as a patient. However, the upcoming series reportedly narrates the story of Harley's journey following her breaks up with the Joker. The series reportedly portrays how Harley with the help of her best friend Poison Ivy and a ragtag crew of DC castoffs, tries to earn a seat at the biggest table in villainy: the Legion of Doom.

The project is reportedly described as an adult animated action-comedy. It also features several other superheroes from the DC Universe who adds up to Harley's adventurous journey. The voice cast for the series also includes Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Ron Funches, JB Smoove, Jason Alexander, Wanda Sykes, Giancarlo Esposito, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, Diedrich Bader, Tony Hale and Chris Meloni. The series is set to be scripted and executively produced by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey.

The making of the series was announced on November 20, 2017, by the Warner Bros. where they stated that the DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital platform had ordered 26 episodes with a length of 30 minutes of adult animated action-comedy series. On February 7, 2018, the list of the characters set to be included among the main cast in the series was released which included The Joker, Poison Ivy, Sy Borgman, Doctor Psycho, Malice Vundabar, King Shark, and Clayface. The animated series is expected to launch in 2019.
