Rajit Kapoor played titular role in show which ran on television from 1993 to 1997. After series wrapped up, Rajit Kapoor featured in a number of films like Baar Baar Dekho, Bypass Ro and Raazi. But, actor is often still associated with character of Byomkesh Bakshi and he himself has mitted on various occasions that show helped him gain popularity.
