Deepak Malik: Details of the contestant's appearance on Indian idol 11

Popular singing reality show Indian Idol is in its 11th season. It has been on air since 2004 on the Sony Entertainment Television. The show's concept is similar to that of American Idol and Canadian Idol. The current edition of the show began its broadcast on October 12, 2019. Currently, the auditions episodes are being aired. Episode number three had a contestant who was rejected in last season but earned the admiration of judges this year. The contest’s name is Deepak Malik.

Here is all you should know about Deepak Malik

He was a part of the Indian Idol season 10 but got out in the auditions of season 10. Anu Malik recognised the singer and asked him if he was the same singer who was rejected last year. Deepak confirmed the fact following which Malik commented on the contestant's drastic physical transformation.

Deepak replied that he had undertaken the transform himself after the death of his mother, who passed away recently. The judges paid their condolences to his mother. Deepak added that before his mother had died he had asked her whether he should go to perform in Indian Idol for the second time or not. To which his mother had said that he should go for it.

Deepak Malik told the judges that he will be performing for the last time on a platform like Indian Idol. He further said that he will not stop singing but he will choose a different path to success in the musical field. Deepak said that he is unhappy not because he is unsuccessful but because he could not show his mother the success he could have attained.

Deepak performed the song Dama Dam Mast Qalandar. He got a standing ovation from the judges for his performance.  Judge Anu Malik went on to say that it was the best performance in the auditions so far. He also gave him a golden ticket to the actual show which will happen in Mumbai.
