Dheeraj Dhoopar doesn’t like being called a TV actor, says 'I wanted to switch over but...'

Dheeraj Dhoopar received immense love and gratitude for his stint in Kundali Bhagya. His fan base only expanded after he appeared in show Saubhagyavati Bhava as Karan Luthra. Even after proving his mettle in acting Dheeraj has to deal with label of “television actor”.
While some find tag amusing, ors find it offensive. Even though television is his first love, actor expressed his discomfort with label in his recent interview.

Dheeraj Dhoopar on being labeled as a ‘television actor’
In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Dheeraj believes a medium cannot define an actor. He said, “I always h a problem with me being called a TV actor. Why? A medium cannot define an actor. I’m just an actor who wants to be part of all mediums simultaneously. I want to do films I want to do OTT, I want to do music albums, I want to do TV everything. I’m not demeaning anything. TV is always been my first love and will always be my first love and I always wanted to switch over to a different medium.“

“Not just for sake of it, I wanted to switch over and I wanted to do as good as what I was doing on TV. I think that took a little longer for me but yes, re is when people were considering me for certain kind of characters but when y thought ‘Okay, I’ve been too exposed to audience being a TV actor’. n I felt b, I mean being exposed I think is a good thing people know you,” ded Kundali Bhagya star.
