Indian Idol 11: Aditya Narayan reacts on contestant kissing Neha

Indian Idol Season 11 has recently begun on October 12, 2019. Ever since the promo was out, the video of Neha Kakkar being forcibly kissed went viral. During the audition round, a participant tried to hug and planted a kiss on her cheek. He was wearing a traditional Rajasthani outfit and a headgear. The judge got up and tried to recognise him. She even agreed to accept the gifts given by him. Recently, Aditya Narayan, the host of the show has reacted to the whole incident. He exclaimed that the incident was ‘shocking’. However, he said he doesn’t know if the show’s producers have taken any action against the man.

In a recent interview with a leading daily, the singer said that he tried to safeguard Neha as the host of the show but what happened afterwards was not in his hand. He added that the man must be extremely dedicated to her and had immense love for her. Narayan also informed that he had a tattoo of her on his arm. The host, while showing concern, said that these things could not be neglected. It is not a normal thing. He added that judges have come on the stage a thousand times. Aditya said that he is certain that the contestant didn’t do it in an inappropriate way.

Aditya said that he has experienced incidents where fans do such things when they are obsessed with a celebrity. He said that since the contestant had the tattoo of Neha on his hands, he must be immensely in love with her. Speaking in favour of the contestant, he said that he feels for him too and understands why he did such a thing. However, he was keen enough to advise that contestants need to be made aware of where to draw the line.

Further explaining the incident, Aditya Narayan said that he was happy that situation did not go further out of hand or else there would have been dire consequences for the contestant. He exclaimed that there would have been dire consequences if he had done anything like that. Appreciating Neha Kakkar, he said that Neha is important for the show. He quoted that with woman, we have to be careful about everything and anything.

The channel showed the whole incident in the promo. Many people reacted to the show’s activity and showed hatred for attempting to gain TRP with such a distressing incident. Aditya reacted to the channel’s decision that he didn’t know who took the call. He said that he is the employee of the show and doesn’t know about the channel doing such things. Other judges also reacted to the incident in the past few days.

Neha Kakkar's fans lashed out against the incident on social media, with one user saying that what happened was utterly inappropriate and he would think twice before watching the show anymore.
