Indian Idol, a singing reality show aired its first season in the year 2004-2005. Since then, it has been searching and churning out talented singers from India. With judges Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani, this season will be hosted by Aditya Narayan. While the auditions across cities in India began months ago, the first episode of Indian Idol season 11 aired on Sony Television on 12th October 2019.

The judges were astonished when a 14-year-old boy, Harman Singh from Punjab walked in the audition room. He sang the song ‘Ishq Baazi’  and stunned everyone with his mature voice that was soothing to the ears. He was selected and now, he is one of the most important male contestants of  Indian Idol season 11.

Around 14 contestants are selected every season out of which one winner is chosen. Apart from Harman Singh, Indian Idol season 11 will have participants like Diwas Kumar, Azmat Hussain, Gurdeep, Deepak, Stutee Tiwari, Adriz, Chelsi, Harshdeep, Kailvalya, John Oinam, Kumar Sahil, Nidhi Kumari, and Shahzan are the contestants who got selected as the top 15 contestants. The contestants who won in their respective city were given a golden ticket to come to Mumbai. While some left their city to pursue their dreams, others went against their family to fulfil their dreams and prove the society wrong.

The first episode saw the performances of all the contestants and who were selected and brought to Mumbai, the city of dreams. As a promotional activity, the team of Indian idol even made a small clip for the show. The season 11 will be aired on television for the next 3-4 months. Every contestant will perform a song every week and will be judged on the basis of their performance. At the end of every weekend, a contestant with the lowest performance score will be eliminated.
