Jasmine Bhasin To Lose Eyesight Due To Corneal Damage? Actress' Eyes Bandaged, Shares Health Update

Jasmin Bhasin, who has given many hit performances in TV shows, suffered from an ocular (eye) problem owing to contact lenses. The incident happened when she was in Delhi for an event on July 17, as reported by a paparazzo, Viral Bhayani.

Will Jasmin Bhasin lose eyesight?

According to a post shared by Viral Bhayani, Jasmin was getting ready, and the moment she wore the contact lenses, her eyes started hurting and the pain gradually intensified. A while later she couldn't see anything properly. During the event, she wore sunglasses and her team helped with the directions.

The post further revealed that the actress didn't visit the eye specialist immediately owing to work commitments and when she did late at night, the doctor diagnosed her with corneal damage. She was treated immediately.

"The actress is in a lot of pain. The doctors have told her that she should be recovering in the next four to five days. As of now, she cannot see properly. The pain makes it difficult even to sleep. Despite all this, Jasmin is extremely positive and confident to recover in a few days and return to work!" the report reads.

They also shared photos of the actress with bandages on her eyes.

What happens when the cornea is damaged?

The cornea is the clear outer layer at the front of the eye. The cornea helps your eye to focus light so you can see clearly. According to the National Eye Institute, small abrasions (scratches) on the cornea usually heal on their own. Deeper scratches or other injuries can cause corneal scarring and vision problems.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Jasmin shared a photo of herself with sunglasses and a million-dollar smile. The text on the photo read, "Better now and recovering. Thank you for your love and blessings.”

Jasmin worked in serials like Dil Se Dil Tak, Naagin 4: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, Tashan-e-Ishq. She made her debut in the cinema with the Tamil film Vaanam and went on to star in films like Karoodpathi, Beware of Dogs, Dillunnodu and Ladies & Gentlemen.
