Big B accidentally knocked on Michael Jackson’s hotel door

In a recent episode, Amitabh chatted with Padma Shree awardees, Dr Abhay and Dr Rani Bang. When Amitabh asked Rani about her favourite singer, she mentioned Michael Jackson. She also expressed interest in Amitabh's meeting with the legendary singer and asked him to share his experience.

Piku actor revealed that he stayed at the same hotel as Jackson. The actor shared that he had the opportunity to meet and converse with the late star. After several attempts, he finally managed to watch Michael Jackson perform live in New York.

Amitabh stated, “I was in a New York hotel when I heard a knock at my door one day. I opened it and was shocked to find Michael Jackson standing there. I almost fainted but managed to remain calm. He asked if this was my room, and when I confirmed, he realised he had come to the wrong door. Later, after returning to his room, he sent someone to connect with me. We eventually sat down and spoke. Despite his immense fame, he was remarkably humble. That was our first meeting.”

Big B then recalled the time with he faced difficulties to watch MJ’s performance, quoting, "On one occasion, Michael Jackson performed in America, and we faced a tough journey from New York to the venue. Upon reaching the hotel, we discovered there were no available rooms. Despite our requests, the staff informed us that all 350 rooms were reserved for Michael Jackson and his team.” 

He further revealed that after multiple attempts, they managed to get seats at the back of the stadium to watch his performance. The artist stood out with his incredible singing and dancing. The atmosphere in the arena buzzed with energy, filled with loud applause and a sense of magic.
