Having secured two bronze medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, she has inspired a new wave of athletes across the country. But there's more to this, the 22-year-old champion will now take the hot seat on the popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, showcasing her intelligence and wit. As a special tribute to Teachers' Day, Manu Bhaker will appear alongside wrestling champion Aman Sehrawat on September 5. Though, what's got everyone talking is the promo, where Manu Bhaker's hidden talent has been revealed.
Manu Bhaker recites Mohabbatein's iconic dialogue
In the latest promo video of the Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, which is set to air on Thursday, Manu Bhaker was recorded reciting Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic dialogue from his 2000 film Mohabbatein. In the clip, the Olympic medalist was dressed in a saree. She expressed her love for the film and softly sought permission from Amitabh Bachchan to recite his dialogue, saying, “Maine aapka vo yaad kiya tha matlab bahut pehle jab maine picture dekhi thi. Toh mai bolu? (I remembered that about you a long time ago when I saw the film. Should I say it?)"
Manu Bhaker then recited the mohabbatein's iconic dialogue, saying, “Parampara, Pratishtha aur Anushasan, humare iss gurukul ke teen stambh hai. In teeno ke adhaar par hum tumhare aane wala kal bata sakte hai." Big B proudly acknowledged, “Ye humari film ka dialogue that. (This is a dialogue from my film)" Fans praised her performance, with many suggesting she should pursue a role in films. In Yash Raj's iconic romantic film, Amitabh Bachchan played the role of Gurukul principal Narayan Shankar who has toughened in life after suffering from personal losses and has a penchant for discipline.
Manu Bhaker is a ‘Bollywood girl’ all over
This is not the first time Manu Bhaker expressed her love for Bollywood. Earlier, in an old video that went viral, the shooting champion can be seen dancing to the popular song Kaala Chashma during a school function.
The video was recorded at an annual event at a girls' school in Chennai. The song is from the 2016 film Baar Baar Dekho, starring Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra.
