Mukesh Khanna of 'Shaktimaan' fame reveals why the show went off-air abruptly

'Shaktimaan' has been one of the most classic superhero shows to be ever made in India. Mukesh Khanna recently revealed the real reason why the show ended.

Shaktimaan is among  many classic shows that have me a comeback on television. show started airing on Doordarshan once again alongside or shows like Ramayana, Mahabharat, Circus, etc. However, actor revealed real reason why show went off-air abruptly years ago.

Mukesh Khanna reveals why Shaktimaan went off-air

Mukesh Khanna revealed in a recent interview with an entertainment portal as to why Shaktimaan h to be abruptly taken off-air. He ded that makers of show promised him to get a hike in fees but did t go ahe with it. He ded how this clash with makers led him to quit show.

Mukesh Khanna said that once show was given a prime slot on channel, makers promised that his fees would be hiked after 104 episodes. However, actor’s fees stayed same even after 350 episodes. He ded that makers of Shaktimaan wanted to go ahe with more episodes.

However, Mukesh Khanna believed that y were “penalising” him for success of Shaktimaan. He ded that when all of his suggestions to hike his fee went down drain, he left show. Mukhesh Khanna ded that even today many people complain about how Shaktimaan was ended incomplete.

Mukesh Khanna also spoke about how team came across costume and famous chakra for Shaktimaan. He ded that team h roped in a big designer to sketch out a costume for Shaktimaan. However, team n developed design furr after discussion.

actor ded that chakra used by Shaktimaan was inspired by Anahata chakra. He ded that chakra controlled vital parts of body like heart and lungs. He also said that team chose to keep it maroon coloured because colour signified valour.
