TV actress Nia Sharma who recently attended Ekta Kapoor's Diwali bash had a mishap at event. Her Diwali outfit caught fire by a diya. Fortunately, actress wasn't hurt because of multiple layers in her dress. She posted picture of her burnt dress on Instagram story and wrote: " power of a diyaaaaa! caught fire in a second. I got saved by layers in my outfit or maybe some force that guards you and protects you." Take a look -

People find it difficult to accept TV stars in bold roles: Nia

Television star Nia Sharma says viewers do t easily accept actors from small screen in bold roles as y are used to watching m in characters of 'bahu' or 'beti'. actress says digital gives more to an artiste to experiment with roles as compared to TV. "People find it difficult to fit actors in any role as y (actors) have done certain kind of parts on television and that is very degrading, demeaning and regressive. TV isn't a wide medium when it comes to boldness on small screen because of audience.

"It reaches out to audience but keeping traditions intact. only medium where people are truly exploring mselves and going out to experiment is digital ," Nia told PTI. Nia rose to fame with shows like "Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai" and "Jamaai Raja". She is a part of a web series by Vikram Bhatt, called "Twisted".

actress says she was a little apprehensive doing bold scenes in web series due to kinds of roles she has done in small screen. "People have played roles like se before and done bold scenes on-screen but just because my background is television, people will blow it out of proportion. "Everything I am doing is rmal, but just because I've played a role of 'bahu' and 'beti', people will t take it easily."
