Paresh Rawal convinced Arvind Trivedi to essay Raavan in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayan’
If not for Paresh Rawal, Arvind Trivedi would not have essayed his most iconic role as Ravan. The former convinced the actor to pick up the role in the show.

Arvind Trivedi still remains iconic for essaying villain in epic drama, Ramayan, that aired on DD channel almost three decades ago. After drama was re-telecasted again during coronavirus lockdown, an emotional clip of Arvind Trivedi watching show surfaced. While audiences were busy sharing and appreciating work of actor, reports suggest that at first instance he had turned down offer of essaying villain. Things went way it did when Paresh Rawal convinced actor.

In a recent interview of Arvind Trivedi’s granddaughter with a news publication, it was revealed that Arvind Trivedi had initially turned down role of Ravan in Ramayan as he was busy doing atre. She revealed that it was actually Paresh Rawal who was able to change Arvind Trivedi’s mind. Arvind Trivedi and Paresh Rawal were part of same play, when former received an offer from Ramanand Sagar, Ramayan’s creator. Paresh Rawal called opportunity 'once in a lifetime moment' and asked Trivedi to essay it.

His granddaughter revealed in interview that people would approach actor and say that y are his bigtime fans. Some people would even ask for blessings from actor.
