'PM Modi encouraged us to do something for our society': Ekta Kapoor

Bollywood and TV producer Ekta Kapoor describes her experience upon meeting PM Modi in Delhi. She also addressed the Prime Minister as 'honourable visionary.'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacted with the members of the creative and entertainment industry. The interaction was organised to discuss the ways to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It was organised at the official residence of PM Modi in New Delhi.

Various Bollywood personalities like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandez and many more. The event was also attended by popular TV and film producer Ekta Kapoor.

In a video posted by Prime Minister's Office on their official Twitter handle, Producer Ekta Kapoor shared about the interaction with Prime Minister Modi. She said, "For the first time, I felt like someone knows our industry better than us. Somebody who knows our power and is encouraging us to go ahead and do something for our society, for ourselves and take our industry and be the soft ambassadors of India. So thank you PM, for this fantastic submission."

'Honourable Visionary' 

Describing PM Modi as 'honourable visionary,' Ekta Kapoor of the Balaji Telefilms also took to Twitter and shared a selfie with the Prime Minister.

During the event, Prime Minister Modi emphasised on the power of creativity. He said, "The power of creativity is immense and it is essential to harness this spirit of creativity for our nation. Several people from the world of films and television have been doing great work when it comes to popularising the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi."

The office of PM Modi also shared a picture of the Prime Minister's interaction with entertainment and creative industry members on Twitter.
