KBC 11: The ₹ 6,40,000 question Marieatta Mendis failed to answer on Amitabh's show
KBC 11 had an interesting episode when Marieatta Mendis from Delhi won a sum of ₹ 3,20,000. Read below to know about which question made her quit the game.

The 11th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati has evidently been an entertaining affair. As of now, four contestants have won the whopping amount of one crore rupees. The latest episode of KBC season 11 was called as one of the most heart touching episodes of the season by ardent fans. Contestant Marieatta Mendis did not walk away with a crore rupees but ₹ 3,20,000, but clearly touched many hearts while doing so.
Marieatta Mendis shares her life story on KBC 11
While Marieatta was on the hot seat, she shared her life story with Amitabh Bachchan and the viewers of the show. Marieatta shared that she went through a traumatic childhood and she was sent to an orphanage by her parents. Marieatta also stated that she was adopted by an aristocrat family but was later sent back to the orphanage by them. Marieatta is now 39 and stays alone in Delhi. She stated that she feels lonely, to which Amitabh Bachchan replied saying that she shouldn't get upset as him and many others are a part of her family. The story of Marieatta's life brought tears to the viewer's and megastar Amitabh Bachchan's eyes.
Marieatta's performance on KBC 11
With the help of four lifelines, Marieatta crossed the second Padaav of KBC 11. She answered 10 questions to earn 3,20,000 ₹ but quit on the eleventh question. The eleventh question which Marieatta failed to answer is listed below -
- Annie Sharp, a missionary from England, founded the first school for whom in India in Amritsar in 1887?
The options provided to her were - Visually impaired, street children, bonded labour and widows. Marieatta chose the option of street children which was incorrect. The correct answer was - visually impaired.
