'Ramayan' BTS: Dipika Chikhlia & Sunil Lahri share their challenges from shoot days
In an interaction with a leading national daily,actors Dipika Chikhlia and Sunil Lahri recalled the challenges they had to face during the filming of 'Ramayan'

Kwn for playing role of Sita in popular 90s mythological show Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, veteran actor Dipika Chikhlia spoke to a leing national daily about her experiences while shooting for series. She revealed that for more than half of show she h to sit under a tree. She also spoke about motony that she h to struggle with as she h to sit under tree for Ashok Vatika sequences for long stretches of time.

Dipika recalled challenges that she h to face as an actor during se sequences and said that it was important to keep continuity of mood even though she h to remain in one place for long periods of time. She h to struggle to make character seem alive matter how motous she felt her work h become.

On or hand, veteran actor Sunil Lahri, who played role of Lakshman in show, revealed that he h to endure multiple cuts on his fingers during war sequences of Ramayan. He spoke to entertainment daily and said that he h to imagine enemies in front of him while filming for se sequences as most of shots were taken with a chroma background. Sunil Lahri recalled that it was show's director Ramanand Sagar's direction and narration that kept m motivated even though y would have cut marks on ir hands because of sharp edges of arrows used for war sequences.

With massive popularity of serial, viewers will get opportunity to witness Ram, Sita and Lakshman again, t just characters but also those playing iconic roles. Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia and Sunil Lahri are going to be seen on one platform again. Buoyed by success of show, Star Plus has decided to re-telecast Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan after it recently finished its run on Doordarshan.
