Rupali Family Controversy: Stepdaughter Makes Insta Private After Actress Files Defamation Case

Rupali Ganguly Family Controversy: Anupamaa actress is in eye of a controversy after her stepdaughter Esha Verma levelled serious allegations against her and her husband. 26-year-old alleged that actress physically and mentally abused her mor restricted her husband from keeping contact with his former family and me her feel ‘unsafe’. After multiple accusations, actress finally responded by filing a ₹50 crore defamation suit against her stepdaughter. Esha has now reacted to case. 

Rupali Ganguly files defamation case against stepdaughter 

On November 12, Rupali Ganguly sent a defamation notice to her stepdaughter, Esha Verma, seeking compensation of Rs 50 crore for 'maligning' her character and personal life. legal notice was in response to Esha's 'false and damaging statements' and step was taken to protect her reputation. notice mentioned that Ganguly also seeks compensation of Rs 50 crore. notice was sent by Ganguly's lawyer, Sana Raees Khan.

legal notice dresses Esha: "Our client states that she was shocked to see posts and comments published by you on various social media platforms including Twitter (now X), Instagram, and Facebook. Our client states that it is apposite to put true and correct facts leing to issuance of present notice…" In notice, it has been mentioned that Rupali Ganguly underwent mental trauma because of which she h to seek medical assistance and that she was humiliated on set and lost professional opportunities.

Esha Verma reacts to defamation notice

Following defamation suit, Rupali Ganguly's stepdaughter Esha Verma deactivated her Instagram account. It was on her social media account she used to share videos and notes about her situation. At time of publishing, Esha h deactivated her account. It is also being reported that she h deleted video in which she me allegations against actress before deactivating account.
 

It all started when a Reddit post went viral after a user shared snippets of an old Facebook comment me by Esha. In comment, she accused Ganguly of having an affair with her far Ashwin while he was still married to her mor, describing Rupali as "cruel-hearted". post quickly me waves online, leing Ashwin to issue a statement on X denying claims. In response, Esha posted on Instagram, saying, "re's a darker side to this story... All I ask for is compassion as it unfolds."
