Sacred Games Season 2 Review: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saif Ali Khan's follow-up makes netizens say, "This is Biryani without chicken"

much-awaited Netflix original, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan's 'Sacred Games 2' premiered at 12 AM on August 15. video streaming giant had built up follow-up with a series of posters and promos to entice fans waiting with bated brea for sequel. crime drama had everyone hooked to a cliffhanger, and w that 2nd season is streaming, many netizens have binge-watched show and Twitter is buzzing with reactions of same.

However, while social media was buzzing with rave reviews after first season, it doesn't seem to be a similar case after release of sequel. Netizens were left disappointed and many felt that series was 'overrated'. Read below: 

Netflix India original, based on Vikram Chandra's book of same name, centres primarily around two main characters - Mumbai Police officer Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan), who is trying to save city from a possible attack and Gaitonde, who tips him off just before mysteriously killing himself. second season picked up from where first part ended wherein Siddiqui says it was easier to slip into character as he had already played it for a while.

"re is one like him in real life that I came across. But I can assume that re are people like him. Even if you dislike him, re are two-three good things in him - he loves Mumbai, he doesn't believe in religion and he trusts everyone. It is a grey character, t black entirely. According to Gaitonde, he is right and according to ors, he is wrong. He maybe wrong but he is honest to what he is doing.

In season one, it was essential for Siddiqui to understand world of Gaitonde - both internally and externally."Second season is more internal. Gaitonde is a complicated character. It is for first time that I had opportunity delve deep into a character. It was a great experience." actor says while makers were confident about how show will pan out, he did t anticipate that Gaitonde would become so popular, especially with international audiences
