'The Mandalorian' to get a spin off show on Disney+, says CEO Bob Iger

The Mandalorian has been one of Disney's biggest show releases on Disney+ and seems like the CEO of Disney Bob Iger says that the show could get a spinoff

Bob Iger seems to be giving fans all reasons to be happy. On Tuesday, Disney CEO Bob Iger teased when season two of Mandalorian will debut and also revealed that studio was considering spiff shows based on its characters. During financial result conference call, Bob Iger said that Mandalorian will return in October and will run beyond season two, "including possibility of infusing it with more characters and taking those characters in ir own direction in terms of series."

Mandalorian was created by Jon Favreau and has become de facto flagship show for Disney+ along with Star Wars series introducing world to Baby Yoda which was breakout character of 2019. During call, Bob Iger also said that Disney+ h reached around 28.6 million paid subscribers as of Monday, which is less than three months after launch.

Bob Iger also revealed premieres for two of streaming platform's anticipated Marvel Studios shows. August will see debut of Falcon & Winter Soldier, Marvel's first Disney+ series, which will be followed in December by WandaVision, which stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Scarlet Witch and Vision, respectively. revelation came two days after Disney unveiled first foot from its upcoming Marvel shows, including Tom Hiddleston's Loki, during Super Bowl.

Falcon & Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan and picks up after events of Avengers: Endgame. Malcolm Spellman (Empire) serves as he writer and Kari Skogland ( Walking De) directs. And in dition to Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki, Bob said re are more Marvel shows in works. He also revealed that re are seven or Marvel series in various sts of development or preproduction.
