The Witcher season 2 timeline won’t be as confusing, confirms showrunner

much-awaited Netflix show, Witcher starring Henry Cavill finally realised and fans were pleased with show. However, some fans found show to be a bit confusing due to its n-linear timeline. However, according to an entertainment daily, season two will most probably t feature same pattern.

series is based on stores written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and it has been praised by fans for its balls and thrilling action sequences. Witcher follows journey of three different characters from three different timelines, Geralt of Rivia also kwn as “Witcher", Yennefer of Vengerberg, and Ciri of Cintra. stories of all three aren’t happening in same timeline, but rar various timelines. Fans of show expected a storyline with perspective of Geralt primarily, however, showrunner decided to follow a nlinear timeline.

reason for this was to introduce Yennefer and Ciri and to let audience kw m deeply at same rate as Geralt. However, due to ir stories being deces apart, it was proving to be difficult for some viewers to keep up with pace of show. However, as season goes on, three main characters and ir timelines seem to blend and get more involved.

Showrunner Lauren Hissrich took to Reddit to mention that he found out quiet later that viewers did t understand nlinear format until episode four of show. He furr mentioned that, ones who disliked format are in luck as season two will t be following such a format, and that all three characters’ timelines will intersect. However, she emphasized importance of audience getting to kw Yennefer and Ciri as it would eventually help in structuring of story.
