Ramayan Diaries: This is how Hanuman helped creator Ramanand Sagar write the script
During an interaction with the cast of 'Ramayan', Prem Sagar revealed how his father was helped by Hanuman during the scripting process of the drama

Ramayan cast got toger after 30 years to discuss impact of series in today's world versus how it was n. t only that, but y also shared or interesting trivia from sets. In a media interaction, son of Ramayan creator Ramanand Sagar, Prem Sagar recalled how Lord Hanuman helped his late far write script for show.
Ramayan was inspired by Hanuman
Prem Sagar recalled that during writing process for Ramayan, his late far, Ramanand Sagar used to suffer from writer's block sometimes. In such a situation Ramanand Sagar would pray to a bronze statue of Hanuman that he brought on sets for inspiration and duly received answers. Later, he established statue of Hanuman in a temple.

During conversation, Prem Sagar talked about his far's process of writing during show. "He would meet and discuss with ss and scholars for script of Ramayan to retain credibility of epic. He also introduced new concepts like gurukul and scene where Bharat questions Dasharath about his decision to send Ram into exile. Prem Sagar also ded that Ramanand Sagar h re 14 different versions of Ramayan including a Persian translation to create his own unique version for show.'' He also said that his far's deep and thorough research was for a cause that he believed in. "My far wanted show to have a strong cultural impact on audience, that h been diluted through different versions through s," he said.

Ramayan was aired from 1987 to 1988 with as many as 78 episodes. During Coronavirus lockdown, it was re-run to keep people entertained. However, re was a huge response from netizens, many of whom expressed ir stalgia for drama.
