TMKOC Nostalgia: Tapu Sena Then Vs Now - All Actors In Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Gang

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been entertaining audiences for more than a dece and a half now. It is inspired by famous humorous column, Duniya Ne Undha Chashmah written by eminent Gujarati writer, Tarak Mehta. It kicked off in 2008 and is one of longest-running shows on Indian television, with over 4140 episodes and counting. During its 16-year stint, show's characters have found a special place in heat of fans. Many actors are recognised in public by characters y play in show.

With Kush Shah, who played role of Goli since inception of TMKOC, recently announcing his exit from show, many turned nostalgic. Goli is a part of Tapu Sena along with Tapu, Sonu, Gogi and Pinku. se characters have been essayed by different actors over years. Here's a look back at how our beloved Tapu Sena has evolved with time.  

Tapu or Tipendra Jethalal Ga

When show kicked off, Tapu was essayed by Bhavya Gandhi. He played character from 2008 to 2017. Bhavya was replaced by Raj Ankat, who played role from 2017-2022. After his exit, Nitish Bhaluni is seen essaying role.

Sonu aka Sonalika Bhide

Jheel Mehta played role of young Sonu from 2008 to 2012. Now, she is engaged to be married and runs her makeup and hair business - Beauty By Mehta. After Jheel's exit, Nidhi Bhanushali stepped in to play role and was seen in TMKOC from 2012 to 2019. Currently, Palak Sidhwani is playing part of Sonu in show.

Goli or Gulabkumar Hansraj Hathi

Kush Shah played role of Goli from 2008 to 2024. He has been replaced by a new face in show but details are kept under wraps.

Gogi or Gurucharan Singh Roshan Singh Sodhi

Since start of show,  Samay Shah has essayed role of Gogi. His catchphrase "Chak De Phatte" is popular among show's fans.

Pinku or Pankaj Diwan Sahay

An integral part of Tapu Sena and eldest member of gang, Pinku has been played by Azhar Shaikh since show's start.
