Vivek Dahiya confirms taking a sabbatical from TV, here's why

Television actor Vivek Dahiya confirmed that he has taken a sabbatical from TV due to ‘regressive’ content. Recently, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vivek said, “It’s very difficult, that’s why I’ve taken a sabbatical from TV for same reason. I didn’t disclose it to industry or to anyone that ‘oh I’m sitting at home, I’m taking a break from TV.’ I didn’t say that. It’s just that anything that was coming across, sounded regressive. So, I said I’m better off not doing it rar than doing it without passion.”

Vivek’s last fiction show Qayamat Ki Raat aired in 2019. As of now, actor is a contestant on reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.

It kind of got ingrained in my he ever since she me that statement somewhere. I heard it and I said, ‘yeah, that is so true’ because if your heart’s not in it, n you’ll just do a very mediocre job. And I don’t want to do that. I want to do it with all my heart and passion. Of course re are times when you have to do it for money, that is a separate thing altoger.”

Vivek also revealed that he was skeptical about marrying his wife Divyanka Tripathi. He also discussed his financial insecurities. 

“My first hiccup was that she’s such a big star. How will I be able to? In my he, I was thinking that I’d have to take care of her expenses,” actor said. couple met through a setup arranged by a mutual friend.
