Netflix’s You is set to premiere its second season on December 26. Penn Badgley will be reprising his role as Joe Goldberg the serial killer and also a bookstore manager. The anticipation around season 2 of You is pretty high since the end of the series was no less than a cliff-hanger. Netflix’s You is based on Caroline Kepnes' novel of the same name. Joe’s infatuation with one of his customers Guinevere Beck leads him to become her stalker. He not only charms her but also kills Beck’s best friend Peach Salinger who herself is obsessed with Beck. Beck who is also an aspiring writer is completely unaware of Goldberg’s possessive and murderous tendencies. She eventually falls for Joe and then what follows is a thrilling psychological chase.

You season 2: What twists to expect from the new season (Spoiler Alert)

Netflix’s You fans have been speculating since the first season finale that Guinevere Beck might not be dead. So there are high chances that Beck might make a comeback and seek revenge. Joe Goldberg’s ex Candace also appeared at the bookstore in the final episode. Candace can provide a completely new perspective of Joe in You season two.

Furthermore, a cop is already suspicious of Joe and was keeping an eye on him. You season two follows Kepnes’ novel Hidden Bodies according to the book, Joe Goldberg takes a trip to Los Angeles and gets obsessed with aspiring chef Love Quinn. The addition of the new character will bring about a shift in the dynamics of the plot but Joe’s past might be a hindrance in his path.
