Rana Dagubatti’s brother Abhiram Daggubati got married to Prathyusha Chaparala on Wednesday, December 6. The couple tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at Anantara Kalutara, a 5-star resort in Sri Lanka in the presence of their close friends and family. The first picture of the newlyweds recently surfaced online and has been going viral ever since.

In the viral photo, Abhiram and Prathyusha can be seen standing surrounded by the actor’s parents, Suresh Babu and Lakshmi Daggubati. The Ahimsa star is dressed in an ivory sherwani. Prathyusha, on the other hand, opted for a pink-and-gold saree laden with gold jewellery for her big day.

The event was attended by the entire Daggubati family, including Rana Daggubati, Miheeka, and Naga Chaitanya. The trio was snapped at the Hyderabad airport, earlier on Wednesday, jetting off to Sri Lanka for the wedding.

Abhiram and Prathyusha’s wedding took place at 8:50 p.m. on December 6. After celebrating the three-day gathering at a Sri Lankan resort, the Daggubati family will host a wedding reception in Hyderabad for the prominent figures from the film, political, and business industries. 

Abhiram Daggubati’s work front

Abhiram Daggubati made his Tollywood debut with Teja's Ahimsa. The film hit the theatres in June of this year and was a box office bust. Now, the movie's digital rights have been purchased by the over-the-top streaming service, Amazon Prime Video.

Ahimsa was made accessible on streaming service six months after its theatrical debut. It remains to be seen if the film, which let the theatrical audiences down, will make an impression on OTT viewers.
