After Kanguva BGM Criticism, Resul Requests Theatres To Adjust Speakers 'Well In Time' For Pushpa 2

Oscar-winner sound designer Resul Pookutty recently reacted to criticism Kanguva faced owing to its loud background score. Now, as Pushpa 2 trailer has released, Resul once again took to his social media handle and requested atres to just speakers "well in time" for release. Pushpa 2 makers finally unveiled trailer on November 17 in a grand launch event in Patna.

Taking to his X handle, Resul, who serves as sound designer for Pushpa 2, penned a note requesting atres to just tune Amps and speakers so that Pushpa 2 doesn't meet same fate as Kanguva. “As #pushpa2rule Trailer rolls out today, its been quite hectic in many levels. I want to say to all film lovers& fans that #Pushpa2 shall be mixed at standard Dolby Level 7. I request all aters2 tune Amps and Speakers well in time," he wrote.

Taking to his Instagram handle on Thursday, Resul shared a screengrab of a news article that res " film is criticised for its excessive volume, with loud dialogue and music that detracts from overall experience, making it one of loudest films in atres." Sharing post, he penned a long note in caption about how a friend of his sent him a clip of audience criticising sound.

"A friend of mine, a re-recording mixer send me this clip…. It is disheartening to see a review about sound in our popular films like this. Our craft and artistry caught up in loudness war… who is to blame?! sound guy?! or innumerable fixes comes at last moment to satiate all insecurities. High time our fraternity to put your foot down and say things loud and clear. No film will have a repeat value if audience walk out with he ache!" caption res.
