Devara Box Office Collection Day 1: Jr NTR Starrer Beats Kalki 2898 AD, Salaar In Telugu States
Devara Box Office Collection: The action drama is Jr NTR's first solo release since 2018 and comes after the roaring success of SS Rajamouli's RRR.
Devara Office Collection: Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Devara Part 1 hit the big screens on September 27 amid good hype in Telugu states and decent buzz in the Hindi markets. The action drama is off to a good start at the box office, with day 1 collections in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions surpassing the opening day business of Prabhas starrers Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar by a strong margin. This is a good indication for the pan-India film, which will look to gather momentum in the coming days riding on a good worth of mouth.
Devara Day 1 box office collection breakdown
The Telugu version of the Jr NTR starrer is off to a flying start and collected ₹68.6 crore on day 1. This figure is better than Prabhas ' two recent blockbusters Kalki 2898 AD (₹66 crore) and Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire (₹66.75 crore). However, Devara is not doing so well in the Hindi markets, which could be a sign of worry going forth. Overall, Devara collected ₹77 crore in India in all languages.
In the Hindi version, Devara collected ₹7 crore on day 1, whereas Kalki 2898 AD minted ₹28.25 crore and Salaar grossed over ₹15 crore. This pegs Jr NTR's film behind Prabhas ' movies and could prove to be a major dent in its business. This is despite the roaring success of Jr NTR's previous film RRR in the Hindi belts and the presence of Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor , two popular Bollywood stars, in the movie in meaty roles.
Devara Day 1 worldwide collection
Overseas, Devara collections hit a good note. The US has emerged as the biggest market for the film outside India. According to Sacnilk, Devara minted ₹140 crore gross worldwide, which means it collected around ₹63 crore overseas.
