Janhvi Kapoor Recalls Shooting For Devara Song In Jellyfish-infested Water: Life-threatening Moment

Janhvi Kapoor is currently basking in the success of Devara Part 1 starring Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. The Koratala Siva directorial marks the Telugu debut of the actress and Saif Ali Khan. Days after the film's release, Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram account to share behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot of the song Chuttamale, which she termed as the ‘most life-threatening moment'.

On October 12, Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram, to share some throwback moments from Devara shoot in Thailand. Along with the video, she wrote in the caption, “Too late for some #Chuttamale BTS? I think not.” The actress spoke about shooting for the song Chuttamale in a jellyfish-infested water body with nothing by a silk saree on her. 

In a video, the actress shared a behind-the-scenes moment from the song Chuttamale and was heard saying: “This might be the most life-threatening moment… I am going into jellyfish-infested waters. Nothing but a thin silk saree to protect me. I hope I survive, I hope it is worth it. I hope it is a memorable shot.”

In another slide, she showcased the “beware” sign as the water is infested with Jellyfish, whose stinging cells in their tentacles can injure humans. In one clip, the actress was seen talking about climbing a “really sharp rock” and then coming to the dangerous waters. Janhvi Kapoor wrapped the post with a candid selfie.

Koratala Siva reveals details about Janhvi’s role in Devara part 2

In an interview recently, Koratala Siva explained why Janhvi only appeared for limited screen space in Devara Part 1. He shared some crucial information about the actress's role and gave a better idea about the character, Thangamma in the film's sequel. He said: "She can bring plenty of freshness into the movie and have multiple dimensions to her character which will be unfolded in part 2. There is a lot of drama for her and surprising twists & turns that could happen with her character.

"You will have to wait and watch part 2 to see more of Janhvi!" Siva said, urging fans to be patient patient. He also hinted at the story's complex weaving, saying that it would explore a little extra into the character's details as well as talk about her journey. Devara Part 1 is headlined by Jr NTR who appears in a double role in the film.
