Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli's Next SSMB29 To Go On Floors In January 2025

SS Rajamouli is working hard for his upcoming film starring   Mahesh Babu  , tentatively titled SSMB29. The highly anticipated project is touted to a pan-India film. The pre-production work of SS Rajamouli’s upcoming project has kickstarted with a major update now coming through. Writer Vijayendra Prasad, the father of Rajamouli and story writer of SSMB29, revealed this massive update at an event.

Writer Vijayendra Prasad recently revealed during his ‘Master Class’ session that the film’s shoot is scheduled to begin in January 2025. As soon as the video went viral fans couldn’t contain their excitement and flooded the comment section.

One user wrote, “Can’t wait for globetrotting adventure SSMB29”. Another user wrote, “This film hopefully may do ₹2000 crore business”. “This is going to be a globetrotting film”, wrote the third user. 

What do we know about SSMB29?

SSMB29 writer V Vijayendra Prasad had earlier confirmed that the script for the film is locked and it will go on the floors later this year. The   Mahesh Babu  starrer is described as a globe-trotting jungle action adventure film. The movie is said to be shot in the jungles of Africa and will be heavy on VFX.  

It is expected that  Mahesh Babu  will devote himself totally to the role for 2-3 years. Additionally, it has been reported that the actor will also come onboard the project as a partner and will not charge any fees for the movie.

For the unversed, the film was  announced at the special screening of his film RRR in Japan, filmmaker SS Rajamouli had spoken a little bit about the film.

He said, “We started my next film. We completed the writing, we are in the pre-production process...But we haven't finished the casting yet. Only the main hero is locked, the protagonist of the film is locked. His name is   Mahesh Babu  , he is a Telugu actor. Looks like many of you already know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit fast and during the release, I will bring him here, and I'll introduce him to you. I'm sure you will love him as well.”
