Mr Bachchan Director Slams Trolls Over Ravi Teja-Bhagyashri Borse's Age Gap Backlash: That Is Acting

Ravi Teja is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Mr Bachchan, co-starring Bhagyashri Borse. Since the makers announced the movie, the makers have been trolled over the age gap between the lead pair. Now, in a recent interview, director Harish Shankar, addressed the trolling coming their way.

According to a report in 123telugu, the director said that he doesn’t understand the fuss about the age gap. He explained the age difference between the two with an example, “Suppose a girl in your house is getting married, you look at many things. Not just the age difference, you verify the groom’s family background, astrology, and many such things.” Similarly, when it comes to cinema, the makers are quite cautious. “A 25-year-old lady needs to make us believe she is 50 years old. That is acting. There is something called screen age,” he continued.

He added that the actress doesn’t have any issue with the age gap and that’s why she signed the movie.  “Why are a few worried about the age gap when the actress herself is comfortable?” he asked. The director also stated that veteran actors like Sr NTR and Sri Devi acted in numerous movies where the leading lady was quite younger than them.

What else do we know about Mr Bachchan?

The movie is an official Telugu remake of the 2018 Hindi sleeper hit Raid, starring Ajay Devgn. It is based on the real-life income tax raid conducted on Indian industrialist Sardar Inder Singh. Apart from Ravi Teja and Bhagyashri, the movie also stars Jagapathi Babu in the pivotal role. The movie is jointly produced by T. G. Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibotla, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, under People Media Factory, T Series Films, and Panorama Studios.
