What Is N Convention Centre?: On August 24, the HYDRA demolished the Nagarjuna-owned N Convention in Hyderabad. Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRA) authorities began razing the property built on a 10-acre plot for an illegal construction on lake land. Nagarjuna cries foul over N Convention Centre demolition
On August 24, Nagarjuna penned a long note claiming that the action taken by the HYDRA was illegal and that no notice was served to him before beginning the demolition process. He also added that if the court finds him guilty of encroachment, he will undertake the demolition process himself. On August 26, the actor penned another note on X (formerly Twitter) reiterating that no part of the convention centre is built on encroached land. He wrote, “Dear all, fans and well-wishers, News about celebrities, can often be exaggerated and speculated for effect. I would like to reiterate that the land on which N-convention has been built is a Patta Documented land. Not even one cent of the land beyond that has been encroached upon.”
He added, “The Special Court of AP Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Act has given a judgement passing an order Sr.3943/2011 on 24-02- 2014 saying no encroachment has happened in Tummidikunta Lake.” He then urged his fans to not believe in any speculations and rumours. He concluded the note by writing, "Now the formal argument is already presented in front of the esteemed High Court. I will abide by the law of the land and judgement. Until then, I sincerely request you not to indulge in speculation, any sort of rumours, misrepresentation of facts and deviations."
