Telugu actor Varun Tej, who was recently all over helines for his dreamy wedding with Lavanya Tripathi, is now gearing to return to work. actor will soon begin shooting for his upcoming film Matka, which is being directed by filmmaker Karuna Kumar.

film will feature actresses like Meenakshi Chowdhary and Nora Fatehi, who will be starring opposite Varun Tej. Matka crew is currently finalising shooting locations and or pre-production related logistics before team commences its shoot in December. 

most unique thing about Varun Tej’s next project is actor will be sporting 4 different looks. Reportedly, film’s storyline spans over 24 years, starting from late 1950s and going on to late 80s.  Matka is being planned as a Pan-India release, also being dubbed in Hindi besides or South-Indian languages. Eminent music director GV Prakash Kumar has been roped in to compose music for film. 

Varun Tej to make his Bollywood debut with Operation Valentine

Besides Matka, Varun Tej will next also be seen in a Hindi film project titled Operation Valentine, which shall mark Varun Tej’s Bollywood debut. Operation Valentine shall feature Varun Tej starring opposite Manushi Chillar.  Varun Tej is reportedly playing an Air force Officer in this film directed by Shakti Pratap Singh. Varun Tej’s last film release was spy-action thriller Gandeevhari Arjuna which released in August 2023. film, directed by Praveen Sattaru, was a commercial failure.
