The Dixie Chicks have officially change their band name to "The Chicks", here's the reason
Dixie Chicks are ready to revamp themselves to "meet the moment". The country singing band has officially changed its name to "The Chicks" following BLM.

Black Lives Matter movement is leing to several major changes in film and music industry. This movement has w led to country music band Dixie Chicks to drop word “Dixie” from ir name. This change was me by band since y wanted to “meet this moment”.

Black Lives Matter movement gained momentum and worldwide recognition after George Floyd’s death a few weeks ago. It has w led to a wave of change in entertainment industry. Many new reforms are being done to end systematic racism in industry. After band Ly Antebellum changed ir name to Ly A, Dixie Chicks are following ir footsteps.

country band Dixie Chicks have decided to drop word “Dixie” from ir band name. So w, se country queens are just “ Chicks”. Even though band has dropped “Dixie” from ir name w, y have been referred to as “ Chicks” for a long time. But still, band’s fans are welcoming this change with open arms since many of m have reportedly been quietly uncomfortable with it due to its historic racist reference.

While talking about this slight change in ir name, band dressed it on ir website by saying, “We want to meet this moment”. This change in name is also visible on ir social media handles including Instagram and Twitter. After making this statement on ir website, Chicks also released an official statement through ir representatives.

In statement, y thanked New Zealand-based band “ Chicks”, who were gracious eugh to share ir name. In statement, y also ded that y are houred to co-exist toger and also called m “exceptionally talented sisters”.
This new move by Chicks has been done with release of ir new single March March. new single was dropped by band without any prior anuncement or promotion. But still, single is receiving immense love from ir fans. video of song is also aligned with Black Lives Matter movement and also requests fans to support groups like Black Lives Matter, ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and several ors.
