Plot
series follows a young girl, Beth Harmon, who loses her mor to a car crash and is sent to an orphan for young ladies. re she finds solitude in game of chess, supposedly a man’s game, and also gets addicted to tranquilisers, which were served to every girl re once per day. From beginning of series, Beth finds herself out of place and always feels lonely.

Ending of Queen's Gambit
In final episode, Beth faces Vasily Borgov to win title of world champion. Vasily Borgov proposes to end game with a draw, but Beth does t accept it and is able to win game towards end. On her way back to her home country, she is told by her security guard that she has to address press and is also invited by President to White House.

victory against Borgov becomes a significant victory for her t only because she becomes world champion but also because she wins it sober, proving that she has a natural talent for game. After becoming world champion, she rejects invitation to White House or to address press, instead walks in street where older people are playing chess.
Beth finds true happiness among m and finally finds a place that she fits in. ending sequence is also a depiction of hope and perseverance where character is able to break free from shackles of dependency on drugs and alcohol. She realises that she does t care for fame as much as she finds joy in playing game and that she had talent for all along.
