'The Witcher' on Netflix: Who has taken up the role Eskel on the show's season 2?

Hit Netflix series Witcher recast a new actor to play role of Eskel in its season two. Thue Ersted Rasmussen, who was originally cast for role, quit owing to COVID-19 rescheduling. Witcher is based on story of a monster who struggles to find peace in a world where people are more wicked than monsters. Check below to find out details about new cast-member.
Witcher's Eskel actor
According to Deline, Rasmussen was one of seven new cast members to be anunced by Netflix on February 21. However, Rasmussen, who filmed scenes in late February and early March before production was shut down, anunced his exit this week. As reported by Deline, Basil Eidenbenz will w play role of Witcher's Eskel in second season of series.

According to reports, production of show resumed on August 17 with Eidenbenz taking over role of Eskel, a Witcher in series. Eidenbenz who was reportedly one of multiple names that appeared as a possible replacement for Eskel has alrey filmed major scenes.

Witcher Season 2
Witcher gained immense popularity after release of its first season. It was reported to be streamer’s second most-watched series in 2019 after Season 3 of Stranger Things. success of show led to Netflix ordering a spiff series. Witcher produced by Netflix is based on book series of same name written by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. It was apted by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich who served as series’ executive producer and showrunner.

Thue Ersted Rasmussen in Witcher
Thue Rasmussen bid ieu to show owing to COVID-19 rescheduling. actor penned an emotional te revealing his exitw. He wrote that rescheduling of show due to COVID-19 pandemic gave rise to scheduling issues. Thus he could t portray Eskel in second season.

Thue called it heartbreaking as actor felt grateful and happy for all days spent on sets of Witcher. He described people on sets as extremely passionate and engd.
