Teachers' Day in India is celebrated on 5th September to commemorate birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Rhakrishnan. He was a rewned scholar, recipient of Bharat Ratna, first Vice- President and second President of independent India. He was born on 5 September, 1888. As an educationist, he was an vocate of edification and was a distinguished envoy, acemician, and above all a great teacher.

Giving a testimony to it, a school in Maharashtra has been painting walls of houses in vicinity with lessons to overcome challenges of unavailability of internet amid ongoing coronavirus crisis. According to a PTI report, students were unable to afford smartphones, refore lecturers at Asha Marathi Vidyalaya school, Maharashtra decided to use walls to teach kids. Teachers painted walls with lessons from textbooks in Nilamnagar to provide education to poor kids of vill despite lack of resources.
