Udit Narayan lodged a police complaint after he received threats on phone calls over last month. number has been traced to Bihar and found to be that of security guard of singer’s building, though guard said that his mobile was stolen. Meanwhile, police have increased patrolling near veteran’s residence.

Udit Narayan files complaint:
As per reports, Narayan lodged a complaint with Amboli Police Station in Mumbai, informing police that he has been receiving threat calls from an unidentified number since last month.

Upon investigation, it was identified that name of caller was Laxman and that calls were made from a stolen phone. number was found to be registered in name of a security guard of Narayan’s building. When questioned, guard said that his phone was stolen when he was on his way to his hometown in Bihar three months ago.
case will w be investigated by Anti-Extortion Cell of Crime Brance, after it was transferred to unit by Amboli Police Station.

Bharat Gaikwad, senior police inspector of Amboli police station, told ANI, " complaint was filed four days ago and since n we have increased patrolling near Udit's residence."
As per reports, caller made three calls, one a month ago, second two weeks ago and last one on July 23. caller said that he is aware of timings Narayan leaves his home and would threaten him.
