Kollywood director-producer Vetrimaaran, in a recent interview with a vernacular langu magazine Vikatan, shared an instance when he was humiliated for t speaking in Hindi. Vetrimaaran revealed that while returning from a film festival in 2011, he was ridiculed by an airport authority for t replying to his questions in Hindi. airport official took a jibe at Vetrimaaran when he responded to his questions in English inste of Hindi.
However, music composer GV Prakash and or acquaintances travelling with Vetrimaaran intervened to solve issue but all went in vain as amant airport official did t seem to bow down. official humiliated Vetrimaaran for t speaking in Hindi, and also me him wait in queue for 45 minutes, revealed director in recent interview. Vetrimaaran was allowed to leave airport premises only after ar officer took charge.

incident happened in 2011 when Vetrimaaran was returning from Cana after attending a film festival. Interestingly, it was same year when Vetrimaaran won National Award for Best Director for ukalam (2011). Meanwhile, director, who celebrates his birthday on Friday, September 4, revealed that he wishes to collaborate with Thalapathy Vijay for a film, in an interview with Vikatan.

Vetrimaaran is currently working on script of Vai Vasal, which stars Suriya in le. movie is reportedly based on tritional event of Tamil Nu, Jallikattu, which takes place during Pongal every year. On Suriya's birthday, first look of forthcoming movie was released, amping up expectations of moviegoers.

Vetrimaaran-directorial is reportedly based on acclaimed writer CS Chellapa's 1958 vel of same name. forthcoming movie is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, who incidentally also bankrolled Vetrimaaran's last film Asuran (2019).
