WATCH: 'Gold Tamba' from 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' Will Make You Groove All Night Long!

Ever since the cast and storyline of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' released, it has been making headlines and the audience is extremely enthralled by the plot and cannot wait to watch the movie. The movie is helmed by Shree Narayan Singh and involves personalities such as Yami Gautam and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role. The movie revolves around the shortage of electricity in small towns and villages and bills with enormous amounts that the people in the city that get electricity have to pay. Recently, the makers of the movie released the first song of the movie 'Gold Tamba'. In the video, you can see Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor moving to the beats of the music. The thumping number is filled with peppy beats and will make you dance all night long. The song is composed by Anu Malik and Nakash Aziz has lent his voice for it.

Just a few days back, the makers of the movie also released the trailer for the movie which was received very well by the audience. The trailer shows a perfect blend of everything, from comedy to romance and is definitely thrilling. The movie is directed by Shree Narayan Singh who has also helmed the movie, 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'. Shahid Kapoor starrer 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' deals with a social issue. The movie highlights the contrast between long hours of power cuts and the ironically high electricity bills which burn a hole in the common man’s pocket. The story of the film follows the account of a common man's battle against control dispersion organizations. The film was earlier slated for a September 14 release but however, due to a number of reasons including a conflict with Prernaa Arora and her production company KriArj Entertainment and accusations of copyright infringement in addition to a legal battle with Vashu Bhagnani, the film's release date was postponed to September 21, 2018. Shahid Kapoor had taken to Twitter to make the announcement. The actor in his tweet said,  "BATTI GUL METER CHALU releases on 21st September".
