In an interview given to Cineruopa, French director Maïmouna Doucoure revealed that she h penned Cuties based on experiences she h h while growing up as a Senegalese immigrant in Paris. As a young girl, she h witnessed under and pre-pubescent girls dancing sensually at a neighbourhood party.
