Aanvi Kamdar, a 27-year-old Mumbai-based travel influencer died after falling into a gorge while filming an Instagram reel. She was filming a reel at Kumbhe waterfall near Maharashtra's Raig when incident happened. She was on a trip with her seven friends when she slipped and fell into a 300-foot-deep gorge. Following a six-hour rescue operation, she was brought out from gorge, but due to severe injuries she sustained in fall, she died at hospital.

Who was Aanvi Kamdar?

Influencer was a CA (Chartered Accountant) by profession and h worked at IT/Technology consulting company Deloitte. She was a travel enthusiast and her Instagram handle is filled with photos from her various trips. She also shared videos, giving her followers tips for a budget-friendly trip, how to plan a trip or how to quickly get done with photos on a trip. She also dropped videos of herself exploring local markets and how to do street shopping.

Aanvi has 256,000 followers on Instagram and her bio describes her as a travelling detective, who discovers luxury finds, cafes, itineraries and tips.

Aanvi's last post was two days ago where she is helping her followers where y can go this long weekend. Soon after news of her death was confirmed, netizens flooded comment section condoling her death.

Varun itya, an influencer shared his disbelief and wrote, "This can’t be true". Anor user wrote, "You sweet sweet girl ! Rest in peace sweet child." Saloni Kukreja, who is known for her food videos, wrote, "Shocked to core. Can’t believe this is happening. Rest in peace Aanvi, you will be missed a lot."

Authorities have urged tourists to be extra cautious while visiting waterfalls in monsoon season.
