Coronavirus positive cases in Maharashtra has reached 128 as this deadly disease is taking its grip throughout country. As panic for virus has been spreading, re are also many rumours flying around about various things related to coronavirus. A recent rumour that took hold of social media portals is that Minarette Building in Andheri West near Bhavans College has been declared as a high-risk zone by Bombay Municipal Corporation. This is because re were three cases of coronavirus found in building.

An im is being shared across social media that re have been three positive cases of Coronavirus found in Minarette Building near Bhavans College in Andheri. post also claims that BMC has quarantined entire society and claimed it to be a high-risk zone. It also claims that residents are looking for maids or servants that will be quarantined with m. Several people seem to think that first confirmed COVID-19 positive patients in Mumbai resided in this building.

report is a mix of facts and false information. As per Republic World's sources, re have been patients tested positive in building and it has been sanitized. However, se patients are t same couple who were first to be confirmed positive in city.
It is extremely important to te that re has been official anuncement by Bombay Municipal Corporation or by any or official source about any building being declared high-risk, thus it is safe to say that Minarette building in Andheri West is t claimed to be a high-risk zone by BMC.

rumour first started circulating through social media portals. Though it was present over internet, it was mainly passed on through Whatsapp and Facebook. Ar possible cause of rumour could be traced back to fact that couple who were first confirmed cases in city live in same area as Minarette. y live in Andheri West. As per a trusted Republic World source, while couple does live near Bhavans College, y are t residents of Minarette Building.

We contacted a resident of Minarette Building who threw some light upon situation. resident shared that a doctor who resided in building was tending to a Chinese patient with Coronavirus. He was exposed to virus and his wife also got tested positive for same. two are w safe and are recovering well in a hospital in Mumbai. BMC doctors have been visiting building and keeping a check on all residents of building. doctor’s maid, as well as his neighbours, have been tested negative as well. While rumour claims that re were three people tested positive in building, our source confirmed that re were only two.
