Fact check: A viral video on social media claimed that a three-eyed baby was born in Germany. However, the claim was debunked and has been termed as false news

A video of a three-eyed baby born in Germany is doing rounds on social media. video which is being circulated on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter shows a baby with two rmal eyes and one on forehead. While such videos are generally passed off as fake, this one gained attention as some social media ps had shared video with a post saying that an Indian s had predicted about birth of such a baby centuries ago. Three-eyed baby in Germany

In video, three-eyed in Germany is called 'Zack' by an unkwn voice after which a female voice follows. baby is sitting on a stroller. If video is observed closely, third eye on forehead of three-eyed baby is superimposed digitally.  movement of eye on forehead is as same as left pupil which is a give away that video is a case of digital editing. According to video editors, such kind of editing is very much possible and simple as well.

When short clip of e eyed baby in born Germany emerged, many social media ps linked it to a prediction of an Indian s who had made a 'prophecy' that such a baby would be born in a foreign country. A YouTube user also put up video with 'Craniofacial duplication' as a caption to reinforce aunticity of video. Craniofacial duplication is a congenital defect, that causes duplication of some facial features. However, re is credible evidence to back that this is same baby.

According to a prophecy made by a s in south India in 17th century, a three eyed baby will be born in a foreign country. It is also claimed by many social media ps that same s had predicted outbreak of coronavirus. However, veracity of claims is dubious.
