1 killed, 3 injured as luxury car driven by business tycoon Ponty Chadha's nephew hits autorickshaw in Delhi
In a major incident in the national capital, a 51 year-old foreign national was killed and three persons were critically injured on Monday after a speeding Bentley car hit an autorickshaw. The incident took place around 1.32 pm on Monday after which police reached the spot.

The incident happened in Vinay Marg in Chanakyapuri area of Delhi. The speeding luxury car was being driven by 19-year-old nephew of business tycoon Ponty Chadha, Asees Singh Chadha, police confirmed.

Police said that the deceased foreigner was identified was as Turkmenistan national Gulshat Alijanova. The other injured are auto-driver Raghubir Singh and Turkmenistan nationals Alma Gul Atayeba (33) and Gulia Yyam (55), police added.

In 2012, Ponty Chadha was shot dead along with his brother after both sides fired at each other. The locals caught Asees immediately after the accident and people were seen thrashing him when the police officials reached the spot, a senior police officer said.
Turkmenistan national Gulshat Alijanova succumbed to injuries during the course of treatment in the hospital while the other injured are undergoing treatment, police told.

A case has been registered under section 279 (rash driving) and 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder, punishable with life imprisonment) of the Indian Penal Code, said Madhur Verma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi).
Sources said the harsher section of 304 IPC was invoked since Chadha was driving a high speed which led to the death of one woman and severely injured three others.

Police said that the luxury car hit a lamppost after hitting the auto-rickhshaw. As per reports, the front portion of the car was completely damaged, while the auto-rickshaw was totally mangled after the accident. The auto-rickshaw also skid on the road for 30-40 feet as an impact of the accident.
The blood samples of Asees Singh Chadha did not reveal any traces of alcohol. As per police, the luxury car was accompanied by two Punjab police personnel at the time of the accident.
Police said that the victims are still unfit for statement and they have contacted the Turkmenistan Embassy to find details of the families of the women who were involved in the accident.
