Ten madrassa students held in connection with the violence that took place during anti-citizenship law protests in the city of Muzaffarnagar on December 20 have been granted bail.

Ten mrassa students held in connection with violence that took place during anti-citizenship law protests in city of Muzaffarnagar on December 20 have been granted bail. students of Mrassa Hoja Ilmiya were granted bail by a court on Saturday on basis of a special investigation team (SIT) report that found evidence against m.
SIT found students t involved in any serious offence and withdrew all charges against m except that of violation of prohibitory orders, prosecution said. It has been learnt that 18 people were released after being found incent in SIT investigation. Over 70 people h been arrested for violence during protests against amended Citizenship Act in Muzaffarnagar.
